Tasting Notes
Located in an area many regard as the cradle of true cacao, where fine Criollo beans are produced, a bar from Palmira excited the imagination. Medium to large squares of matt saddle leather brown emanate balanced aromas of roasted almonds and honey with hints of spicy cinnamon and nutmeg. A crisp firm snap develops into a hard dry melt with a nice smooth texture. An absence of bitterness immediately impresses with complex and intense notes of vanilla, honey dew melon, honey suckle and an undercurrent of citrusy zing.
